New Seasonal Release of Chamilia Charms
By Vogue | February 5, 2010
Chamilia jewelry has just released a new batch of thirty-two Chamilia charms, just in time for the festive season. This batch of charms includes those designed around the fall and winter season, as well as a batch of Christmas oriented charms. Of course, there are also plenty of non-seasonal beads released as well, including some very cute little miniatures. This time around there are a couple of new gold charms, one new silver and gold bead, a few Murano glass beads and the remainder are all made from Sterling silver, some with gorgeous cubic zirconia stones inlaid.
One of their Christmas beads is a limited edition. This little holiday bead is fashioned after the style of a bauble. Sterling silver, set with blue stones, it would look absolutely stunning hanging from a Chamilia Charm bracelet.
Other bauble shaped charms are included in this edition, such as the Gold Fleur de Lis Ornament bead. This particular charm is fashioned out of Sterling silver, with a gold leaf type design curling around the outside of it. While not the most expensive released bead, it is more costly than the plain silver charms due to the addition of gold to the bead. Two other sterling silver charms are designed just like the baubles that hang on the Christmas tree, both set with green colored designs on them. These two are referred to as the “Glitter Striped Ornament” and the Holiday Ornament.
No set of Christmas charms would be complete without Santa. In this case, the depiction on the Kris Kringle bead is set with red stones, including a charming red nose.
Christmas season also brings to mind the beautiful Poinsettia flowers that abound during this time. There is now a new Poinsettia charm too, made from Murano glass. The Poinsettia charm features red flowers overlaid on a rich green background. Very finely crafted, it would give a perfect touch of Christmas color to any charm bracelet.
Another very colorful charm, that would also bring a great splash of color to a bracelet is the Holiday Wreath Charm. This sterling silver charm is set with two different shades of green stones alternating with red stones, and is crafted to resemble a holiday wreath, complete with a bow on top.
The two more expensive charms in this seasons release are the Snowflake Charm and the Gold Treasure charm, both of which cost around $260. These pure gold beads do look very charming, and the Golden treasure charm in particular is very well crafted and designed. Either one would make a great stand-alone gift this year. Another cheaper charm, that also includes gold, is the sterling silver Gold Ribbon Gift charm. As the name implies, while the charm itself is made from sterling silver in the shape of a gift, the ribbon is made from gold. Less expensive than the gold charms, this retails for around $165, as does the Fleur de Lis Ornament.
Finally two other Christmas related charms that have just been released is a Sterling Silver depiction of Saint Christopher, and a Silver charm in the design of two Christmas Carolers. Any of these charms would make a great Christmas gift this year!

During the event, Oscar de la Renta received the Botón de Oro as a lifelong achievement award. Moreover, a prize money of 300.000 euros was presented to the young South Korean designer Jin Youn Lee, winner of El Botón-MANGO Fashion Awards. He created a collection of 10 articles, inspired by the works of Michelangelo, the corsets of the 19th century and the torsos of the mid-19th century.
A luxury cast modelled the MANGO proposals for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter 09-10: Amparo Bonmatí, Flavia Lucini, Hanna Rundlof, Marina Pérez, Teresa Baca, Gabriel Pérez, Helge, Jesper Lund and Nicolás Ripoll, among others.
For the forthcoming season, and under the name of HEROES, MANGO presented a collection with proposals in which the MANGO woman gains power and strength by adding clear 1980s influences to her wardrobe. Shoulder lines are accentuated on suit jackets and outer garments, while in lower garments, the silhouette becomes narrower, with slim-fit trousers, biker trousers, leggings and pencil skirts. For its part, the mens collection HE Homini Emerito presents a structured silhouette with details such as breast pockets, epaulettes, pleats, double buttons, shields, elbow patches and Mao necks. Furthermore, the North American designer Adam Lippes is once again collaborating with us and is designing two collections, one for men and one for women. For women, the Adam for MANGO collection has a clear 80s influence, while giving the garments a certain timeless and exclusive air. For men, Adam for HE is a casual collection with a 50s air.
The presentation of the collection was followed by a concert by Solange Knowles.

The series features five variations:
